Bohdi

''Bohdi'' was an experiential exhibition in 2023 at The Not For Sale Gallery in London. Bohdi means enlightenment in Sanskrit. The light works shifted in colours during the weeks the show was open. The first week Bohdi was in white light, the second it was in blues, the third in reds, the fourth it was a shifting rainbow, during the last week the lights were off. The exhibition was also the first showing of the functional art sculpture speakers Mitosis and their soundtrack which combined the sound of pulsars, nature and a female and male heart beat. The other works were a mix of the Bohdi abstract light art series, the emergent series which included the projected ghosts of the lost Emergent Triptych a public art commission from the Meta Modern Arts Festival which was destroyed in Kiev during the ongoing conflict.

Anthropocene

''Anthropocene'' was an installation within the group exhibition '' Sanctuary''. Anthropocene’s aim was to discuss the cycle of nature, and man’s interventions with it. The work was a site specific conceptual installation, originally shown June 2023 in the “Sanctuary” exhibition at the Not For Sale Gallery.  The apple is emblematic as the fruit of knowledge and temptation, when cut in half horizontally it has a pentagram is at its heart representing forbidden knowledge. An apple was placed on the earth from Axis, on the centre of a box made from the acrylic covid screens, where the apple seeds were also scattered.  The moulded ice hands symbolic of humanity reached for forbidden fruit. There was also a bowl of apples, people were invited to eat an apple and place seeds on the earth. The growing trees from the original artwork are a continuing part of the installation and are emblematic how human interaction can be caretaking when working with nature and not destructive. The work consisted of recycled elements, such as the earth from “Axis” the ground breaking bio communal portrait by Audrey Rangel Aguirre which premiered in the “Light is Life “ group show at NFS March-June 2023, and donated Covid-19 protection screens. Combined with cast ice hands,  apples and apple seeds. The apple seeds were collected from eaten apples in the NFS gallery. NFS was only open by appointment or Sundays.  Sanctuary was a dark show, when people visited blinds were down and there was no natural sunlight. The question was; would there be enough sunlight for the seeds to germinate, would the water from the melting ice hands be sufficient to water seeds, or would it fill and flood the box. Additionally would the ice hands slip from their anchors, and crush sprouting seedlings. Would the balance of human intervention be beneficial or harmful, would nature prevail? Any apple seeds sprouting will be re potted and eventually planted in the English countryside in a continuing element of the installation. The Transience of Joy

''The Transience of Joy'' was an experiential exhibition and installation exploring the appreciation of life through Joy rather then a Momento Mori.

Heart of Christmas

''The Heart of Christmas'' was a two month installation at the Art 'Otel Battersea November to January 24-25. The exhibition compromised a scent scape, a sound track, two new light paintings, and an interactive installation. The sound scape was a composition based on the sound of the universe and nature. The scent scape was inspired by the symbolism of Christmas and scents that create calm and renewal. The discussion posited throughout the installation was the mixing of the macro and the micro, how is life transferred from the spiritual to the material.
